Nadine Crasto Student Recital

 

Furtados Music used to have concerts every two weeks, be it Student Recitals or Steinway Concerts. To end this year on a happy note, Young Steinway Artist, Nadine Crasto had her  Student Concert at the Furtados South Mumbai Showroom.! It was the first concert in the showroom after 3 long years. The event took place on Sunday, 11th December 2022. 

Nadine has been performing and teaching young students to turn into future Steinway Artists. The performers for the concert were of all ages, especially young children who were specially dressed up for their first concert. They were all extremely excited to perform in front of their parents, the same way their parents reciprocated the feeling! 

 

The room was filled with joy and excitement as the Students were to perform on the Steinway & Sons Grand Model S. Nadine owns an Essex Grand Piano designed by Steinway & Sons, giving the children a taste of the Steinway tone and quality during practice. The children were comfortable performing on the Steinway Baby Grand on the Big Day.

The programme's repertoire included composers like Schumann, Mozart, Schubert and Tchaikovsky, among others. Piano duets were also showcased. Every student performed to their best ability and received thunderous applause from the audience. The sound of the Steinway resonated throughout the showroom elevating the performance to a new level.

We asked Nadine how she felt post the concert and these were her thoughts, “My students were all very excited to perform at the showroom, our previous concerts being much smaller due to the lockdown restrictions. More than anything, they were thrilled to play on a Steinway Piano! As a teacher, it was a relief to see everything organised well, without a single glitch throughout, by the Furtados team and because of that I really got to sit back and enjoy the concert. Every single one of the performers was great! Everyone has a lovely memory to hold onto of this special day and I look forward to many more recitals at the showroom!”

 

At the end of the performance, the students received a certificate along with a Furtados goodie bag. Nadine, too, came bearing Christmas presents for her students! The crowd got together chatting and discussing the exemplary performances of the students and thanked the teacher for her hard work and patience. Everyone left with refreshments and smiling faces, making the concert on the Steinway Grand a Grand success!
