Student Concert: Shweta Adyanthaya

Biography:

Shweta Adyanthaya was mentored by the late Mrs. Veera Pooniwala and Ms. Ferieda Havewala and has attained an advanced certificate in piano performance.  She is also a qualified clinical psychologist and has always loved working with children. For her, teaching music is an ideal confluence of both passions - music and psychology. Shweta believes her background in psychology has made her a more understanding and sensitive teacher.

 

 

What began as a part time pursuit, soon turned into a full-time professional commitment when she was invited to teach music and speech & drama at New Era High School, Panchgani.  Shweta also taught at Mount Carmel Convent, Pune, Wisdom World School, Wakad and later in Hadapsar.

 

After spending several years teaching in schools, she decided to devote all her time to private teaching. She now divides her time between a studio in Aundh and at Cantabile, on Napier road. 

 

Shweta enjoys accompanying solo instruments and voice, for concerts and examinations. Not only is she passionate about piano performance training, but also teaching of music theory and history.

 

Shweta is currently pursuing advanced musical studies under Ms. Ferieda Havewala at Cantabile and is considering a research-based teaching diploma in the near future.
