Con Brio 2023: Pictures at a Concert

The Thirteenth edition of ConBrio marked its post-pandemic revival into the offline stage at the NCPA, Mumbai. As a reflection towards the broadening horizon of Western Classical music in India, the 2023 Competition expanded its scope to three disciplines- Piano, Violin and Voice.

Renowned for its unique thematic programming, Con Brio this year witnessed a bridging of Aural and Visual art. Music performances were accompanied with Visual Art projections that matched their mood and narrative flow. The performances featured the Steinway Concert Grand Piano along with Violins and Voice Artists adding to the whole experience. The result was an event equally delightful for the ears and the eyes- that underscored the rewards of exploring art through multiple media.

In addition to the Annual Festival-Competition, The Furtados Con Brio Foundation now looks forward to launching projects related to professional development, music education advocacy, outreach programmes and community support initiatives.
